Hello,
I am wondering if it's possible to use the mix outs of my mpc 3000 to power old stereo speakers through an amp while my studio monitors are receiving from the main stereo outs from the mpc.

The chain so far is:
turntable phonos >small phono pre amp inputs > outputs > mpc record ins > mpc stereo outs > mixer channel > mixer stereo master outs (xlr) > monitors

I want to do this because I don't like how 'honest' studio monitors are with the crackle and pops of vinyl.
And when lifting the needle there is quite a jolt in level that goes up to +10 which is unsettling. I would much rather listen to records on the old stereo system and then once Ive recorded then chop listening through the monitors.

If anyone knows anything about this any info would be much appreciated. Thanks

Nope, but just hook your hifi amp and speakers up to monitor or aux/tape outs on your mixer and use that to switch between them, that's what mixers are for (among many other things)
