Hi there, still a bit new to the 3000, ive dug thru a few old posts about using exteernal controller for the mixer page, only controller ive seen mentioned is the peavey1600 which arent too easy to find these days, was wondering if theres any others that get used for this, i use an akai midi mix connected to my mpc live for this and is great for arrangning, would love to be able to do this on the 3000.
Thanks

Yeah you can use any midi assignable controller if you want. the Peavey 1600 / Peavey 1600x can be found on eBay and reverb if it's something you really want to do.

You'd just have to set up some templates for all the correct midi CC values to control things the way you want. Since you already have an X, I'm sure you could do the same although off hand, I'm not sure what you'd want to control remotely on the 3000.

Any modern midi control panel ought to be programmable for CC. Novation has a ton of controllers that are reprogrammable. The biggest hurdle might just be finding something that has a real MIDI output and not just USB.

Awesome thanks i will look around for something like that, i mainly want it for live arangment purposes to have access to track mutes and a few pad volumes but it might be easier to resample the pads and do it on the live tho. cheers

Doesn't Vailixi have track mutes?

I guess thats the only way to mute some tracks in a sequence.. Not like on the 2000 xl with trackmute screen :)

There is an app called mididesignpro for ios you can make knobs/faders send sysex ”messages” but i haven’t tried it for my self. and im not really sure if it will work on the mpc3000.
