how do you 'play' a bass sound? like on the other mpc's you do 16 levels with tuning but i read a bit of the manual and it doesn't look like you get 16 levels with tuning, only 16 level velocity

i also have a midi keyboard i could hook up to the mpc. could i use that?

Actually you just hit the 16 levels button located next to your pads and select the sample you want to multi-pitch. You'll notice that your pads will act like keys and the sample will ascend 6 notes or descend 12 (full octave) from 0 - Unfortunately the MPC-60 has a limited range. Also if you compressed a sound you can't use mult-pitch mode so make sure you avoid doing so if you plan on playing around with sample. Hope that helps you out a little.

yeah i'm not sure of DJ Spynz.....never heard his music- Need Not says he knows you and you're from Germany. Do you have any beats I could check out? Yeah Need Not Worry and I are working on this dope ass LP - It's gonna be one long ass story - the whole album is set up like a movie with a script and everything - Each track has a different feel and mood. It's gonna be finished around the end of February. If you have any questions regarding the MPC-60 lemme know I might be able to assist you.....to a certain degree. hahah

When you hit the 16 levels button, move the cursor the where it says velocity and change it to tuning.

You should really get the 3.10 OS ASAP, Scsi too if you can.
