Internally Corrupted Files

So yesterday I saved a larger project onto my SD card in my MPC 3000. Today when I went to load it I got the following message: “This file is internally corrupted & can’t be loaded: it’s internal id type does match its 3 letter name extension.”

This is the first time this happened to me. The sequence will load fine, but the Program & sounds give me the above message, except for one sound which does load.

I have the files backed up onto my hard drive & can see them just fine, but when I try dumping them onto an sd card to load them I get hit w the error.

Hoping someone can give me some insight on this situation.

Okay, but since I can still see the files on my laptop via my hard drive I should be able to load them onto a new sd card right?

It‘s not uncommon that you can see directory content on a drive, but when trying to load it fails (because the data inside the file is messed up).
But your case seems to point to a name conflict, which may include invalid or even invisible characters in the file name. Check on PC/Mac if the 3 char filename extension matches specs.
ps: if the SD card was put in a Mac, there are invisible files that may confuse the MPC OS.

Okay, I checked the file name extension & it matches but I’m still not able to access the files.

Are you saying I’ll be able to see the file & file size, etc on my mac but won’t be able to load them? Is there any way to access them at all?

Sounds frustrating! Try formatting the SD card and reloading the files from your hard drive. A different SD card might help too. Hope you get it sorted!
