buncha mpc questions

1, the simplest one, i cant find out how to change my bars from 2 to whatever on my mpc60II..

2, is there any benefit to using my 60 an my 2000xl together? if so how is it done?

3, what format do my sounds have to be for me to throw em on a flop an then put em in the 60, it seems wavs dont work.

an 4, just generally, why is it that some ppl prefer the 60 so much over other mpcs? is the sound that different?

any help is appriciated..

sry, one last question i forgot.. how do i find out what os is on my 60, and if its not up to date where do i find the update, and does it cost $?

When you first power it on it will say the OS version.

You need the OS upgrade, then you can convert wavs in the MPC editor to 3000 SND's which the updates 60 will read and convert to its native format.

For the update, check route 66 studios and roger linn design websites.

To add more bars, press the SEQ EDIT button, then select option 3 to insert bars. Use the rotary wheel to add however many bars you'd like. If you want an 8 bar loop, then insert 6 bars.
