i notice in the manual (and on the s950) it says to not attempt to open the unit due to risk of electrical shock, even if you've unplugged it.
i remember elmac posting something about just making sure your hands are dry and you're 'grounded' if you're on carpet etc.
i'm seriously thinking about getting the backlight replaced since mine is practically deaded by now. i just wanna make sure i open it safely, take out the backlight casing correctly for shipment to telesis, and install it back in correctly/safely before powering her back up.
