An unnamed party wants me to trade his fully upgraded 60 for my fully upgraded 2000XL.

fully upgraded 60 (scsi, os 3.10, max ram) = on average, about $850

fully upgraded XL (8 outs, 32 MB ram, EFX card, MCD) = on average, about $1100-1200

obviously, monetarily, the value of the two is not comparable. However "value" in the strictest sense of the word is subjective, and therefore what costs more might have less value, and vice versa.

Anyone think this sounds like a good idea? I think the 60 for a semi-upgraded 2000XL (32 MB memory, MCD card) and I keep the EFX board and 8 outs is a good deal.

What is the opinion/consensus of the forum in terms of a fair trade for both parties?

damn, that sounds like an incredible deal. i paid $800 for that minus SCSI which would be awesome but i'm still hanging with the floppies without much complaints.

what would you need the 8 outs and FX card for, though? just trade it straight up. sounds like a fair deal to me cuz you CAN get upwards of $1100 for a fully upgraded 60.

Yeah I think it's a good deal, especially if the 60 is in good condition.

850 is not an average price for an upgraded 60, it's usually that for just the memory and 3.10, with scsi they get more.

Pretty fair, but if you like you can ask for some cash in the trade, but either way, the trade seems like a good deal.

That's exactly what I was going to say, The MPC 60 in good condition with maxed RAM and 3.10 is around $850 w/ scsi knocks it up to atleast $1000.

no the FX board is on my XL, I was going to sell it separately instead of including it in the trade.
