Explain this Paragraph for a dummy.......

Please Explain this Paragraph for page 144 in the MPC 3000 Manual:


As with any other mid-sequence control changes,these mix charges only take effect when played in a sequence.This means that if you play a section of a sequence containing a specific controller event, the last played
value of that controller will remain until another occurrence of the same
controller is played,even if you stop the sequence and start playing it from
another location. Because of this,whenever you use one of these events
within a sequence, it is important to insert another events within a sequence it is important to insert another event of the same type at the
beginning of the sequence to set the volume, pan or mixer/effects setting
to an initial value.


If I typed something wrong please refer to manual page 144 bottom paragraph. PLEASE GIVE ME AN EXAMPLE OF WHAT THIS PARAGRAPH IS
SAYING!

Say you have a 4 bar sequence. If you make whatever change thing you make at the beginning of the third bar it will stay like that when the sequence loops back. It's saying if you have a setting you want it to be at in the beginning, you need to make a change to the original setting at the first step in bar 1 so when it loops back to the first bar it goes back to normal.

Make sense?

Philly in the simplist terms it means every MIDI event has to be told when to start and when to stop.
So when you play a sequence if the event starts at 02:02:08 and stops at 05:03:12 you have to start before 02:02:08 and play until after 05:03:12 for the event to accurately occur.
Also you have to be cause when deleting or copying info as you may edit a start or stop out of the sequence.
