Paging doctors Mike and Rohan, please report to the operating room...
The "boot screen" name is only part of it.
That picture above is from FORAT ... hardly a serious change.
Infact a pretty rudimentry rom dump, re-combine, hexedit, string replace, re-combine, re-burn scenario.
Worth $$$ for the time it takes to do, and of course, knowing how to do it.
Kudos to FORAT for offering this as yet another way to modify the cosmetic of an MPC3000.
A by-product of the 3.14 ROM set version that I re-coded software for is that you get some extra stuff to make your machine unique.
This includes a modified boot screen that makes your machine even more unique. Quite a lot more modified than what you may have seen on other sites.
The "other software changes" are of course more important than a personalised boot screen.
Cheers to Mike for hosting the upgrade files for the "free-to-try-and-use" floppy version.
As some folk may or may not know, 3.14 is only the start.
Rohan.
