"Unbalanced" and/or "Balanced" has nothing to do with "level".
IE: You can have an unbalanced line and have it running hot at +4dB.
Using the example of an MPC3000/3000LE.
MPC3000/3000LE outputs are unbalanced and run at +6dB into a 600 Ohm load.
MPC3000/3000LE inputs are balanced.
The "mod" that FORAT perform for an MPC60 is about boosting the output signal level and has nothing to do with balancing an unbalanced drive stage.

They Also perform the Forat mod for the MPC 3000 too. How does it help??

Yeah, I don't get why an output boost on a +6 machine would be any benefit. Unless it just helps make it louder than other 3000's? A lot of the mods are for braggin rights, I would love a hotter output on my 60, but $300 I can't part with for that right now.
