60ii screen area scratch removal

Hi

My 60ii is mint except for a scratch on the front. It's a mild gouge that runs across the face of the contrast knob and onto the perspex panel above. I tried the (googled) lemon pledge technique - no dice. I seen some scratch removal products advertised, mainly car stuff or for mobile phones - anyone tried with any success?

mobile phone one works really well if the scratches are not deep ones .
