S950 sound disks....anybody have any old collections?

I'm looking for some old bass/string synth sounds for the S950. Does anybody know where I can acquire these? I would swear there were sound packs available but i've checked around on ebay and came up short each time. I noticed SampleKings had a few joints but them dudes seem kinda shady to me. I had inquired about the mpc-60 video a while back before I knew of this forum and they tried pullin' some shit over on me.....so yeah if you guys can lead me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.

I'm looking for factory type sounds by the way. Nothing home made unless you can guarantee that it was recorded in a studio environment. I don't want no frail sounds....hahahah. Thanks!

AKAI Sounds

They sell disks on ebay too. I think they are cheaper if you buy from ebay. Email midimark and tell them instead of the mpc disks you want them in S950 format.

I for one love factory samples, I wish I had all the MPC 60 factory sounds.

hellyeah - factory samples are fantastic for implementing into your beats....i mean after all - I wanna purchase the Juno 106 or the micro korg - i just need something with thicker bass....the AX-80 analog synth I had took a bullet to the chest and is no longer with me......so i need a replacement and the Juno has always been a favorite of mine.....I remember messing with it 2 years ago......sorry I gotta mad late start into production.....only been a year since i've been involved with the mpc-60 and S950.....maybe I should hit the machines for a few more years before I talk anymore junk----hahahaha...

If you loved the Juno106 the Juno60 would have you flippin'

If you use a computer there are a lot of Programs that will read S-1000 libraries so you could then sample them in the S-950.
I do it all the time with the XL then sample to the Emax, 60 or whatever.

yeah the 60 is crazy, no midi without that dcb thing though.

Yeah the Kenton stuff works well with the 60.
Right now 106 are going pretty cheap so just keep your eyes open you never know when a deal might come your way.

106 VCA/VCF fixups are getting harder as the source of components dries up.

there's a guy in England making replacement vca chips, for like 60 pounds or so. but still an issue and probably what has kep the price down.

i think i'll just purchase those moog diskettes for now for the 950.....hahaha
