on the sampling, i got gold plated monster cables running from my audiophile to a dbx160 to my MPC60, trust the dove, these drums KILL disk transfer disk drums, the analog hum in there gives my sounds the edge. there is a definite difference between my work and 2000XL work (all my boys got 2000s, so do i but strictly for collab work). My **** stands out. Im a tailor, i take my time, everything gotta be perfect, i dont throw a million sounds into a sequence before finding one i like.
Aint nothing wrong with the comp, but id rather spend more time in front of my gear than in front of a screen. by the way im way more open than the locals i hang with (super anti comp gear purists), i mean i come to message boards, theyd laugh at me for this ****. i wasnt trying to down anyone for anything, just shedding light on how i work. peace mang.
Sup man, how ya been. I understand what you saying man. I use to be the same way until a friend back in 95 introduced me to sound forge 4.5e After that my life changed. I still got some friends who will only burn a final mixdown with a computer and that's it. So yeah, I understand it man foreals.
