Can anybody help me locate where I can purchase and MPC 3000 from within in Australia? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

One way will be to get in touch with a guy in Queensland called "Mutronicmike", he has the same name in his eBay profile.

He has sourced MPC3000's out of Japan for many Australians.

They were all in good condition.

Some were local voltage capable, others needed step down transformers.

Maybe try getting in touch with him.

Or, bring one in your self from Europe or the UK, US or Japan if you don't mind using a power step down transformer.

We run on 240 volt mains supply outputs here in Australia.

If you get an MPC3000 from over seas then ...

Confirm the intended mains supply designation of said MPC3000 by
looking for a small sticker near the mains inlet socket.

[A] = AAL ( USA ) – 110 volts.
[B] = BEAB ( ENGLAND ) – 220-230 volts.
[C] = CSA ( CANADA ) – 110 volts.
[E] = CEE ( EUROPE ) – 220-230 volts.
[J] = JPN ( JAPAN ) – 100 volts.
[S] = SAA ( AUSTRALIA ) – 240-250 volts.
[U] = U/T ( UNIVERSAL WORLD AREA ) 100/110/220-230/240-250 volts.
[V] = VDE ( GERMANY ) – 220-230 volts.
[Y] = CUSTOM – per custom supply documentation.

If the MPC3000 you get is not in line with what our wall sockets run at then you will need a step down transformer to drop our 240 volts mains supply to what ever your machine designation is listed as accepting.

[B], [E] and [V] MPC3000's run hot when connected to our 240 volt mains supply and may need fanning for cooling during summer periods.

[A] and [C] MPC3000's need a 240 - 110 volt step down converter when connected to our 240 volt mains supply.

[J] MPC3000's need a 240 - 100 volt step down converter when connected to our 240 volt mains supply.

[U] MPC3000's can be switched to the 240-250 volt positions for connection to our 240 volt mains supply.

[S] MPC3000's are designed for our 240 volt mains supply.

I've found an MPC3000 on ebay and the dude selling it is from America so I'm guessing it's the American standard of [A] = AAL ( USA ) – 110 volts.

You can purchase a stepdown converter transformer from, JAYCAR, D I C K SMITH, RADIO SPARES, RADIO PARTS, MIDDENDORP ELECTRIC ... and heaps of other places.

They start price wise around the $100.00 AUD mark and go up from there.
