Something Like That wrote:I know Estero's 1st album "Breath From Another" had some 12bit action going on. That album was nice.

Just read an interview with the lead singer of Deftones/Team Sleep in URB(Issue 127), Chino. He says he used a SP1200 when writting and recording the new Team Sleep CD. He also said he used it mainly for bass..... WTF? Is he talikng about baslines or just the kick drum?!

Jermaine Dupri uses a MPC 60II as listed in an issue of SCRATCH. I skimmed through while grocery shopping and saw the MPC60 II in his list of tools. Maybe he has the expanded one, that would be my guess beside most of you all probably know this. So if you do my bad this is for those who didnt know.

Premier used it on Buckshot Lafonque (With Brandford Marsalis ) . I actually own the MPC 60II used on the project. It is not upgraded :-( but it is blessed.

JD has moved onto the MV8000 now. That said he may have kept the 60.

Paul Nice uses a 60 Mk. 1......

Hey I was watching TEEVEE the other day. I do that alot recently. Well, it was one of the shows on about old 80's shows and the focus was on the early 90's show Blossom. Anyone remember that show? Okay the show was called BLOSSOM BEHIND THE SCENES it was on E or VH1.
On the show her Dad is a famous songwriter and in thier living room he has a small studio. I was looking at his set up cos I was just a bit currious at what kind of gear he had. Well he had a grand piano a very nice black one. Those that watched the show probably remember and he also had a keyboard that look like a 90's Kurzwiel Synth. There was also a reel recorder. Okay look beneath the recorder and there should be an SP unit. I think it was a 1200 I could be mistaken. But it was definately an SP. I have been scanning the web to get a picture of the set. Unfortunately I havent found one. Well, I dont think Blossom's Dad was writting songs for Organized Confusion, Black Moon or Main Source, but hey he was rockin' it. Props to the PROP guys!
