best way to unscrew stripped screws?

not sure where this topic should be in the forums but i have a stubborn screw (philips head) that is stripped on the top so i can't unscrew it. does anyone know of a method i can use to get this sucker out? i was thinking super glue might be involved somehow???

^how does that work? i'm assuming you use it to grab the sides of the screw? however, the sides are covered. this screw is inside a housing like a 1/4" hole. muhfuggin cheap a$$ parts! first time i ever tried to unscrew this thing and it strips like it was made from lead or somethin.'

Drill it out with a drill bit meant to screw through metal. Just make sure its a bit smaller than the hole so you can replace with the same size screw....It's easy

Fader rpo's option is one of the best. Sears has a stripped screw removal kit that has some really dope bits that will take out almost any stripped screw, but the drillout method works well too.

Also, 3000LE can;t delete accounts, neither can MPC3000, you need to email tutor for that kind of thing, it's not a passing comment kind of task

I'd only be leary about doing the drilling because of getting metal shavings on your circuit board... not a good thing. If you do go this route, make sure you flip the mpc over and knock out the big shaving pieces and then blow out the smaller pieces with compressed air.

The stripped screw removers also have shavings but not as much as drilling. They are great to have in your toolbox for sure.
