Cool, did you have to mess with the jumpers at all? Also when you say small jumper block are you referring to the 4 pin or 10 pin block? Anyways congrats man glad it worked out for you!!!

With the small jumper setting I mean the 2x2 pin block. You need one jumper, diagonal at the left (parralel at number zero). The other one is a 5x2 pin block. There you need two jumpers. At the 1st en 4th. I hope I explained it correct. By the way: Are the even bigger ones?

so i ve never opened up my mpc
what is a jumper?
my floppy died and i need to fix it fast
...and the TEAC FD-235HF will work w/60 mk2(just checking)
i have no idea on tech issues with my machine
i guess i need to do more time unearthing the techniques of maintence

Let me know if any1 got those jumper settings that DJames posted (in the 60 FAQ) 2 work on their floppy drive. I got a drive that Teac FD-235HF with the big jumper blocc on the bacc and I can't get my 60 2 recognize it.

I'm pretty sure the drive works but have no way 2 confirm 4 sure. The diagram also indicates 3 pathways (4 lacc of correct terminology) on the jumper blocc but the blocc on my drive has 4. All suggestions welcome. -uno-

does anyone have a diagram of the jumpers in the smaller block?
i have a 5x2 jumper block which is recgonized by the 60, i just cant format a floppy

i have fd-235h-4429

jumpers are connected on A&B and D&E on the #2 side

My S900 floppy is busted! Do you think that this TEAC FD-235 will work with it?

900 has a bigger whole than that drive will fill. there are alot of other drives that will work besides teac. get somethin with jumpers. i recently replaced the drive in my s900.

where will i be able to buy a jumper?
i got the extra drive and all the stuff need besides the jumper
im about to go nut and just send it off to get seviced buy forat
but would rather spend the money one more wax and a juno

whats up 60 headz just copped a new teac fd for my 60 and it boots up but will not load my sounds from disk. says there is no floppy disk, has anyone else experienced this problem.

just got back from the latest vinyl hiest and my damn floppy is not working i need urgent info on this

i dont even know where to get a jumper at
tried at circuit city ,radio shack ,stuck up a old computer repair guy outside my job w?a taco shell and told jim to give his hard drive jumper but he just asked me if i hald any salsa w/the hard shell .......

also i worked out how to use any floppy drive as a replacement (requires some soldering)

also can someone with a s900/50 open it up for me to answer this question here..
