mpc60 an mpc editor

my mpc60ii won't read samples properly if i use mpc editor. i get an error saying that the internal id does not match the file extension... has anyone else had this error? i read somewhere that this was a corrupt pgm issue but the snd files should load fine, however this is not the case... wen loaded the snd files either do not work at all or get wierd glitches that sound exactly like the voice chip reseating error.

Anyone got any ideas? this is really starting to sh_t me.
