Finally got to mess with a 60

I have a 3000 and 2000xl sl3, I dont really ever use the 2000xl any more cause the 3000 sounds to dope. need to get rid of it. I would never give up my es for a mpc tho. the es has 2 many good sounds on it. I use my trition or es on every song and mpc's on 70% of songs. I do see what ur saying about quantizing tho. the es is not user friendly when it comes to anything but has the most to offer and ill style, kinda like a fly chick.

That's cool. Different strokes for different folks. As much as I'm trying to like the ES, I just can't for some reason. I only mess with it about an hour a day now. It has the best sound out of all the romplers, but I feel like when I go into a certain group of patches, they all sound the same except maybe for a filter on this one and a filter on that. It literally feels like there's about 8 patches on this board. But they definitely are some of the 8 best patches you ever heard. I really dig the Triton Extreme though. I just found a kid selling an ES for super cheap so I figured why not.

Anyway, now you really have me wanting to try the 3000. I didn't know it was as night and day as that. I think my 2k will suffice though, even though this machine seems to quantize even when timing correct is turned off .

yeah, that happens to me as well...

I dumped my mpc 2000xl for a mpc 60II. The Best move I have ever made. I had the 2000 & 2000xl and was highly disappointed in the sound. If you sample a simple kik, it comes back thin, and tinny sounding with no bottom. With the 60 & 3000, kiks come back with punch. All I need is 1 simple kik for my tracks to bang. With the 2000 & 2000xl you got to play the stacking game to get your kiks and snares sounding right. A real waste of time. So all you cats who want to buy a 2000 classic/2000xl, save you money. If you want to produce banging Hip Hop tracks with thump You better check for a 60 or 3000. I know a lot of you cats would defend the 2000/2000xl to the end. The features, the features, I say **** the features if it dont give me that thump. Not to mention, why do you think you could get a 2000/2000xl for less than $1000 and a MPC 3000 is still $1500 or better. The 60/3000 is the truth. So step your game up.
