arg, lost data past 780mb on tape?!

ok, pain-in-the-arse problem, my bro is bustin my balls over here...

he's been writing away to his jaz drive, then wondered why he couldn't see it anymore...

then I found out that the akai formatted zip catridges (horrible things), only have capacity of 780Mb, so I'm thinking he's lost it...

he reckons that he's got some silly quotes from people who said that they can get to his data, but he seems to think that the 3000/4000, will read past this 780mb 'barrier', which i doubt...

so that's the question, really, can this stuff be recovered, if he gets a newer akai, or can mr data recover his stuff at an exorbitant price...

or is he stuffed?

(he's got to do some beats for shola ama, skinnyman plus others, real pain, just as he takes off ^^)

any ideas, people?!

AFAIK I am the only one in the world that performs data recovery services for Akai gear. Regular recovery houses do not deal with Akai formats and send them back after charging 150+ for looking at them.

I give free estimates and recovery is cheap (about 1/4 price of commercial companies).
