I'm converting drums (single hits) from wav files to snd with wavsnd.

In my computer the lenght of the each drum in snd and wav is the same, but when I play the snd files in the mpc3000 they sound like the had a little bit of decay at the end.

All the decay settings are set to 0 and the Soft Start and Soft End are in place, not editing anything, but still each drum sounds like when the tail of the sound is intentionally cut to give the drums more attack.. but the thing is that with some drums I want them to sound like they are in reality, even if they have a noise tail or anything...

What should I do in the mpc to make it play the sounds the way they are?

Another question I have... is the Wavsnd application reliable? how much quality is lost in the conversion from wav to snd, anybody knows?

I've heard people say that they have used wavsnd and gotten some strange resulting snds. As far as reliability, if it does the same thing every time then I'd say it's reliable  It worked fine 4 me 2 audition sounds on the PC but I never put those in the MPC. I have used the MPC editor without incident. Hope that helps. -uno-
