MPC 60 Vs. ASR-10: On the same level Sonicly?

I use headphones alot straight into My MPC's 1000, 60II , 3000 and 2000xl.. Alot of the time I make a beat wuthout touching any other piece of gear. I have racks of MIDI gear but sometimes I want to work fast without external stuff.. Thant is why it is importiant to me, but true if you have a mixer you do not need headphones. But.... When Sampling having a headphone Jack allows you to hear stuff in the samples that a mixer may mask through it's circuitry. Striaght signal... I personally thing the 60 MKI looks cooler and is more rugged but the 60II doeshave a headphone jack so I opted for one ( It was actually owned by DJ Premier and used to make the Buckshot Lafonque album with Brandfor Marsalis) I would have a hard time parting with it due to that even though I have been using my 1000 primarily since I have a hard drive in it with all of my samples....and it can despite what some may say be very gritty and you can get super fat sounds out of it similar to that of a 60 when you stack sounds and use the filter. Anyway... I think the 3000 and 60 rule the roost as fas as feel and construction but the 1000 has been a great machine to me. You may want to consider a 1000 as well. You can go test it out at Guitar Center or other local shops as it is still produced....I bet not for long though as Akai has released the MPC 500 and when they come out with a new MPC they usually shave off another and the 1000 has been out for a while... The new OS from JJ almost makes it a 2500 and the 2500 is a dope machine. As are the 60 2000, 2000xl and 3000 hell there all dope...get em all and put one in every room of the house.... You can't go wrong with any MPC in my opinion just get one if you do not have one...
