Share your knowledge on these two classic MPCs

so when im in SOUND 6 -edit mode what exactly does this do can i copy this and assign this zone to another pad while keeping the original ?
it would help me save a few seconds in the mem to get a little more crative with some blends with having to have the chop suey sound to it

ok so to refrase a little
i know basically all the edit options before after reverse .....blazahblah
but when i copy a particular zone and it goes to temp "this is where i get lost i dont know how to get that sound or zone assigned to a pad with out changing the original sample.....? if this doesnt make since just let me know becuase i dont know of another way to put it

you copy zone, then paste it into another sample or to a different location in the same sample. so if you want to chop a longer sample, just create some blank samples and paste it there. There's a nice post about it in the MPC 60 bible/faq thread.
