my argument about software plugins was founded after MPC 3000's childish comments on how better (than an mpc) he can change a sample with a S2000.

but my original topic was Not, and had nothing to do with debates, open opinions, etc, etc. Wake up, you posted it on a what.... FORUM.... therefore in all actuality - it's open right from jump street. If you didn't want anyone to answer or state their opinions which you obviously didn't want then don't post. If you DO post then it's open season for ANY and ALL to opine on.fair game to anyoneit was a closed statement a "closed statement" posted on an open forum hmmm, impossible. for people who are unaware of what is inside the mpc3000, for newbies, mpc1000/2000(XL) users who could not afford an mpc 3000 (nor find one in the market), but wanted its sound.

thats all.

now if i made myself look stupid I said bad not stupid by replying back to uneccessary idiotic replies on a thread that i originally started, then i must say you as a moderator Lampdog aint doing ure Job as u should do.

my suggestion to you Lampdog is to read others posts and then make your final arguments I did just that, as apposed to biased replies based around protecting your freindship(s) with others. That's your opinion and that's cool, it's not true, even though I will not stoop to your level and say it's IDIOTIC for you to say so. WHAT a show of maturity, good on you.

I was stating the obvious, the reality of it showed that you couldn't mentally and maturely handle differing/opposing views that were thrown your way, SO, you chose to digress into something you THINK you know more of and about. That's real.

Aren't you the same guy who couldn't figure out "how to move a tick" or something to that effect? Tell me, why should I take to heart and mind your filth flarn filth about the sampling engine on the mpc3000?

And you think I'm not supposed to reply or speak up or something and remain in the background? I'm STILL a member JUST like everyone here Oh yeah, exactly what is my job? Don't get upset with me dude, I did nothing to you. So what, exactly is my job?

jesus, yall are crazy, ive owned the s3000, and the s2000, currently own the 3000 and 2000XL, my partner got the 1000 (nice by the way).

of course a rack mount sampler, a real sampler (keymaping, all that good shit) got more filters, sound options, etc, than the mpc that will make it sound different...but sound for sound, no filters etc, the s3000 does sound like the MPC3000 and the s2000 does sound more like a MPC2000 (kind of mutes in the highs/mids), big deal.

let roopesh do his thizzle, you can get that mpc3000 sound for much cheaper in the s3000, but you wont get the secret sauce sequencing...LOL and it IS A LOT MORE DIFFICULT TO OPERATE!!!

peace folkers.

"why do you reply to my posts when you know that you have very little chances of always winning."

Nice!
A real depth of character with a real positive attitude towards this forum.

I say just let him win coz that's what he likes!
Mind you, that would mean he would get away with posting unnesssary false information, so no, don't let him get away with nothing!

false info...

i would love to proove you wrong in person, but you see i cannot be bothered to.

go to www.akaipro.com (oh...maybe you old mpc cats dont even have computers...who knows)

the bottom part of the website say 'archives' for older products.

click on the mpc3000 product link...

presto...

your F'in info is there.

Yo man, I don't see the archives link.

I believe you roopesh, I just want to read their blurb.

No dis to MPC3000, but if the MPC 3k is based on S3000 technology, then it could be said that it has it's sound engine. A vague term I know, but still.

Also, if the S3000 has more features, the inverse of your statement is more correct.

The S3000 can sound like the MPC 3000, but the MPC 3000 can't always be made to sound like the S3000.

The envelopes on the mpc are not adsr, but I imagine those on the S 3000 are. Bit rates, DA AD convesion, if all that can line up, Roopesh does have a point, but it is important to qualify it.

NEither of you are wrong, we just need to go deeper into the positions to work out what the details and exceptions are.

MPC3000= s3000 engine, MPC2000=S2000 engine, MPC4000=Z8 engine. We don't really know if MPC60 has the S900/950 engine?...
The MPC60 went out in 1988, same year than the S700/S900/S950/S1000 (but it's a 16bites sampler)... So did yall think that Akai provide new/differents engine for Samplers & MPC?
Trully I don't think so...And, they NEVER released a MPC before the original sampling engine...

By elmacaco Sat Mar 06, 2004 5:34 am
Nope, they seem to use a previous sampler engine.

Like you said, the 60 came out in the same yer as the 16 bit S1000.

THe 60 being 12 bit, was based on the earlier models (although without filters??) Rogr linntells of how they tweaked the hardware of the sampler so it sounded better in the highs, making it effectively a 14 bit sampler.

They probably did the same to all the others, they cripple some parts and add others to existing products to repackage them and make more cash from stuff they are already mostly tooled and stocked to produce.
