Stereo input levels??

Word.

So my MPC3000 sees stronger input singals on the right input compared to tha left. So for example if I feed it a straight stereo sine wave, in the sampling screen, the VU meter will run a bit hotter on the right, and then when I sample that signal, the sample is a little louder on the right too. Not by much though, it's more noticeable on the MPC's VU meter than on the Pro Tools meter, and I haven't measured it exactly, but it's probably around 0.3dB or something? But sometimes it's real noticeable on a stereo sample when you listen back, how it shifts a bit to the right.

Any ideas?

See it's not a huge thing cause most of my sampling is mono anyway... but it just bugs me a bit that things ain't right. Do I need to replace a pot or something maybe? Any tech heads out there? Rohan??

how much is the difference in signal? i noticed most records are louder on one side. try flipping the cables and see if signal strength flips the same way.

No problem, that would have been my first reaction tho too. So anybody else want to chime in? Or will this be like my own personal touch to all my beats, "my sound" or whatever? Everything shifted to tha right a little bit??? LMAO!!
