I use an MPC-60. When I trigger soundwaves from my S3000 rack sampler the sounds cut off even when I edit the duration of the sample. Meaning the only way I can use my pads as a keyboard is if I hold the pads down and play them live. Is there a way to record longer notes to a sequence, or is happening because it's a drum machine and not a true keyboard?

I hope my question is clear.

you'd have to hold them down if they were keys too.

Are you sequencing the 3000 with the 60?

Then you'd have to make sure your samples in the 3000 are set up to sustain.

Give us some more details, the duration should work, but we're missing something.

I'm sequencing with the MPC-60. I just found a new way of flipping it (duration) today. I just thought I'd ask. I'm gonna try that sustain joint though. That sounds ill. Thanks man.

Care to share what solved your problem? In case the question comes up again, and for posterity, the 60 forum doesn't get as much love as the others.

Dope name by the way. I just copped a shizzload of Count Bassie wax on the free.

Nothing solved the problem. I just play the chords and sample them and trigger them. Ghetto!!

BTW Dutchmaster pic man.
I've been trying to get this name out there for awhile. I'm just happy it's paying off. Thanks a whole lot most people think Dwight Spitz is my best album.[/quote]

I went to the site, shit looks cool, I gotta check them albums, I gotta support a fellow 60 head. Time for a trip to fat beats ;)

Can you edit duration on samples in the 60 ? set it to note off, and get a long sample then try it.

I'm assuming you have OS 3.10, if you don't, cop it, it's the best thing for you and your 60.

If not, the duraion may be a limitation of the old OS, although I'd doubt it.
