sound names restarting

alright when i sample you know how it sound 1, sound 2, etc well on my 3k it keeps going and i want it to restart to sound 1 everytime i turn on my mpc and record a sample(do you get me haha) alright apreciate it

also is it bad to leave on for more than a hour?

The cumulative sound tag number is stored in your MPC3000 battery backed NVRAM.

......and also in a PAR file if saved to disk.

RE-INIT your machine parameters.

Set you machine parameters the way you would like them.

Save these settings as a PAR file.

Have this PAR file load as part of your startup routine.

As for leaving your MPC3000 on for an extended period of time.

Maybe turn the backlight off. ( if you're going to leave it unattended / won't be looking at the display )

Make certain the machine is well ventilated.

Shouldn't matter which MPC3000 OS you have, mine or one of the older AKAI releases.

The user manual has a section on what files will load at startup and how to name them accordingly.

*.PAR files and the MPC3000's ability to autoload these at startup is a function/feature of most MPC3000 OS versions.

If you're booting say, my previous release 3.16 version from floppy then the appropriate named *.PAR file should be present on that disk also.
