Why can't i sample after puttin' my 32MB RAM in my MPC3000??

Strange, i just put my new 32MB RAM memory (2x16) that i received...
I removed my old 2MB memory too.....

I can't sample no more.....the machine said that i must delete one or more sounds or add more memory in.....
it isn't any sounds in......
Why must i do?

I would double check it again to make sure you seated the memory right.

Yeah i think it's correctly installed....my 'virtual memory' has passed from 1980Ko to 65000 Ko.......this side ok
(When puttin my 2 memory of 16MB, the little piece on the side'cliked'....

But for sampling???
isn't it relied to the old memory card of 2MB? don't know....

i asked if when removing te old memory card of 2MB, has it an influence on the sampler??? i think not....

When installing 32 megabyte ram upgrade into your MPC3000 the old "EXM RAM BLOCK" should be removed.

This has been discussed and recommended previously.

Maybe faulty RAM ?

Maybe wrong type of RAM ?

Some close up pictures of the RAM ?

Or a description of this RAM.

How many chips on each stick

What numbers on each stick

With this RAM installed what is the max sample time that shows

try using just one stick.


if you still get the problem,
switch it for the other stick


if the problem still persists, your ram is incompatible.

get a refund and find a better dealer
