chopping woahs

Does any one else experiance this , i will be chopping a drum break and isolate a snare , then copy to temp , then paste on a .1 sample thats pre recorded. Then the sound after its pasted isnt the same i chopped. The chop points move for some reason.

Any idea what could cause this?

When you preview your chop are you hitting Key 1 for "play/stop" or key 3 for play x set to zone. The reason I ask is cuz I notice sometimes that when I line up a chop in the soft start/soft end section, then put the same time data in the zone start/zone end, and play the zone, they are a little different. Same numbers, but just a little different for some odd reason.

yeah mine works the same way. the way i chop, i dont even bother with those functions.

And what way would that be? Im always lookin for new ways to chop aside from the way I normally do it, or pc which is just kinda obvious.

are you pasting after soft end and then deleting before soft start? how does the chop sound different?
