page 1 - menu
page 2 - record sound
page 3 - menu
page 4 - assign sound to pad
page 5 - menu
page 6 - truncate/trim

( main screen )

I hope there is a shortcut somewhere. going thru 6 pages for each soundis like wack, like seriously.

Sell your 3k if thats too much for you , seriously because any sort of "real chopping" drum break , phrase chopping , will take 4 times longer then going threw what your talking about.

so i guess :

YES. that is the way we all chop.

and...

NO. There is no shortcut.

6 pages, screens etc. it still equals "6"

lol....u can't count each menu screen as a page.hitting the menu screen is like hitting the back button on a computer.if you want simple and quick chopping just use a software program like recycle or chop shop.u have to remember that the machione your using is from the early 1990's.it's 2007..think about that for a while and then decide if the 3k is the right machine for you.

If u really don't like the #6, u can assign the sound later. Then it will be 4.

With Vailixi 3.50.

Take a new sample.

Go into the SOUND EDIT screen.

Set START & END ZONES as required.

Use the "COPY ZONE -> SND" function to create a new SND in memory from edit zones as selected.

Repeat as necessary.

Original sample remains untouched.
