its user error. when first learning how to hit the pads i bet you're getting a double hit. dont change the pads until you practise more. its a common thread subject over the years...

exactly.

i dont hit the pads like a retard, but when i got my first mpc i got double hits sometimes because i was not used to hitting pads coming from playing piano and using samplers with keys. after a while this is not a problem, but if this is the matter here its just a waste of money buying a new pad sensor.

Im not sure if its the way Im hitting the pads. I went to guitar center and played on the mpc1000 and 2500. I hit the pads exactly the same way I hit the pads on my MPC60II, and everything sound fine.

happens on all the 60's the pads are just real bouncy/thin and if you hit anything but dead center itll do it. i just had my whole pad sensor sheet changed by forat and it still does it. you need to hit dead center and solid for it to hit once
