IM NOT TRYING TO BE A HATER BUT I CHECKED OUT THE WHOLE NEW SERIES OF MPC"S THE 1000, 500,2500, 4000 PLUS AND YEAH THEY GOT A WHOLE LOTTA OF BELLS AND WHISTLES BUT THEY DONT BANG LIKE THE MPC 60, 62, OR 3000 AND THE FEEL AINT THERE EVEN THE 2000 DONT BANG LIKE THE OLD JOINTS THE ONLY ONE THAT HAD SOME BALLS WAS THE 2000 XL . IM JUST SAYIN WE HIPHOP CATS NOT R&B PRODUCERS SO WHY AKAI KEEP PUTTIN OUT THESE THIN SOUNDING MACHINES. THEY SHOULD JUS PAY ROGER LINN HIS ROYALTIES AND PUT BACK OUT THE DOPE CAUSE THESE NEW JOINTS IS BULLSHIT!!!!!!

But now get ready for people to tell you how the new mpc's have no sound difference or you can make them sound the same or wait til it goes in the DAW etc etc.

OK YOUR RIGHT THE 2000 XL DOESNT TOUCH THE 60,62 OR THE 3000 &
THAT DAW SOFTWARE STUFF IS GARBAGE AS PRINCE PAUL PUT IT THAT STUFFS FOR THE ADD WATER PRODUCERS FRUITY LOOP DUDES EVEN THE NAME SOUNDS WACK FRUITY LOOPS THATS AS BAD AS THE BOOMCHICK DRUM MACHINE ROGER LINNS PUTTIN OUT THE JOINT DONT EVEN SAMPLE . JUST CHECKED OUT THE 3.50 UPGRADE FOR THE MPC 3000 THAT SHIT IS CRAZY IM COPPING THAT ASAP.

:shock: Wow, that CAPS LOCK typing is really very innoying. Can't you say something instead of shouting it?

The old machines were professional, and cost mad money. If the MPC1000, 2500, 500 and so on had costed the same today as they did back then, because they had PRO components, nobody would have the cash for one (exept for those spoiled bratz on the studio environment forum posting all that pro gear they cannot even hook up or tur on).

The sound on the 1000 is so stupid, the guys who loved that sound cannot be serious, and have not used pro sounding gear for long. I have three friends who used the 1000 as their first MPC, and they all switched after about a year because its stupid.

that boom chik is gonna be hot man, it may not be able to sample...now...but the 808 couldn't sample and that thing BANGS! at least the boom chik is analog, I'm getting one for sure, that thing is gonna make some bangin ass drums...

i had reason hooked up t pmpc it dont sound like real hardwear keyboards dont got that bottom to it . as for the boom chick i gotta hear it to belive it and the 808 was made old school style with with tubes transitors eal lo tech stuff that way it sound so gritty all the new roland machines do sound like that mc808 mc 909 mv 8000 mv 8800 trust me my boys a sales rep for roland down hear in toronto tested my mpc 3000 to his mv 8800 blew machine out the box the swing on the mv"s is wack.

that boomchik is going to be serious. roger linn and dave smith know what they are doing. both of them have been in the game for many many years and have pioneered in the synth and sampler game.

im positive the joint will be worthwhile

I know, It would be nice if it did sample, it will be limited if it didnt kind a like a drumulator on steroids. lol
