What do you 3000 heads think?

I'm going to buy a mpc3000 as my first sampler/drum machine. I dont know much about t he mpc3000 so i willl like to get you guys opinion on these.

What do you guys think about this deal?will the crack has any disadvantage when it comes to the sampler performance?

I'm kind of laughing right now, because it looks like you just blew the auction up and missed out on a good deal on a 3000LE.. It might not be immediately apparent to you, but posting a live auction on a forum is an excellent way to miss out on a bargain.

Not that it matters now, but the crack in the casing probably wouldn't have affected the performance of the sampler (if the crack was caused by dropping it on the ground though... well that could be another story entirely).

The starting price on the other auction seems a bit high. For the condition the unit appears to be in it's maybe worth $900, but I wouldn't pay much more than that if I were you. And I'd be asking to see more pictures of it before bidding.

If you don't know much about the MPC 3000, time to hit up google! Do some research first, you won't regret it - and that's coming from a guy who's owned the MPC 1000, 2000, 3000, S900, S1000 and the ASR 10 - a few of which were a complete waste of my time to buy, and if I'd read up on them beforehand I would have realized that before parting with my cash.

I did alot of reading on the mpc300 still...actually i did alot of reading on samplers on a whole seeing thats this will be my first & and i'm what you will call a 'newbie' to the game...was just wondering what others think about the deal itself..if its a good deal or not...plus the auction was suppose to end in 3 days with no reserve but i guess thats my badluck...i just see it as a learning process..thanks for the heads up though

by the way which ones did you regret buying?

The S900 and the MPC2000 mainly. They are both crap! Also I never really liked the ASR, but I can't front it is a nice joint. I flipped mine a while back.
