can we have a sticky thread about card readers

like which ones work with os 3.16 and ones that work with valixi?

im scoping a pcd47b but am unsure if it will work with valixi or not?

Do a search for "Pcd" and limit the search to MPC 60/3000 forum - there's a thread kicking around on this already that should answer your question. Also if you google "MPC card reader FAQ" you can find a list of (non-vailixi) compatible drives.

I find it odd that the MPC card reader FAQ at www.midicase.com (or at least a link to it with the words, "read this before posting about card readers) isn't stickied, especially since it is pre-Vailixi 3.50.

Once again I agree w/Manilla. Too many posts about card readers, like yours Arks. I appreciate your sense of humor, but it wasn't there when u copped a reader 'off the strength' .

Aren these card readers noisy like this here ex scsi zip?

card readers have no internal moving parts. = no noise

Do the 3000 recognize all card sizes or does it depend on the reader?

I would like a sticky too please. Especially on the MPC 60 compatability (or otherwise). I've been searching but turning up nothing. Then again, perhaps I'm an idiot...

good luck man, apparently some heads report searching over a year til finally finding one. Iam just going to rock the internal zip on mine, I had a iomega external on my asr10 for 7-8 years never had a prob, with the internal at least it wont be moving around back and forth.
