Okay so a relative of mine would like to replace the 3.10d OS he has in his 60 with the 3.10e that is in a 60 II... I am trying to assist. For one thing I have never removed chips before and instead tried to remove the three boards that are attached... one issue is that its easy to remove these parts on the 60 II as you can access the screws from the underside on the machine... however on the 60, you have to remove the boards from the inside... another issue is that the boards dont look EXACTLY alike so I'm afraid that maybe if we successfully swap the parts, maybe something that we dont see will cause a problem... me not being able to see real well is not helping either as I have a disease called sarcoidosis and it affects my eyes... any help would be great... thanks...
One thing I noticed about the different OS's is that with the 3.10d, I do not see a <page 2> option when your editing a sound like with 3.10e or even my 2.12... this option allows you to use the decay effect (3.10e) or the fade in and out on the 2.12.
