Memory modules 2000XL the same as 3000 ?

Are the memory modules for the 2000XL the same as for the 3000 ?

No ...... They are not the same.

2000XL use 72 pin Fast Page or EDO SIMMS.

MPC3000 uses 30 pin SIMMS alone or in combination with a AKAI memory board. ( see www.mpc3000.com for more info on allowable combinations )

Or ..... search the forum, the web and everywhere else where this question has been asked and answered many times before. ( RTFM ? )

I bought a MPC3000 from a studio of some old rockers and it has never been used; fresh out the box still smelling new !

2MB ...... still more than a maxed out MPC60.

Maybe consider upgrading the RAM at some stage.


OS 3.0.1 ??? Another ancient version ??? Or a typo ???
