Mystery Card in Memory Slot MPC60

I've been having a few problems with the embedded static noise in samples so i opened up the 60 Mk 2 and inside in the memory card expansion slot is a Panasonic -m60b card. I've taken it out and theres no change to the noise problem but i have no idea what it is. Any ideas?

Haha this is crazy, I've used my 60 for five years having bought it secondhand. its had 13 secs of sample time since i bought it. I just took out the mystery card and reseated it and now i've got 26! I never knew what it was, its not marked as an akai card it says Multi M60b (c) 1994. Bizarre...but i'm happy!
