Noise when sampling into my 3000??

I just got a 3000. I have my soundcard hooked up into the record in of the MPC and when Im recording my drums into it there is a lot of background noise for some reason? Anybody know why this is? I tried lowering the record gain to "low" but then the drums dont bump as much. Is there any way around this besides loading samples off a floppy or zip??

What do you guys have your sampling gain set to? Low, medium, or high?

because I have a 3000 and its a pain to chop in there so i sample to the computer first, then into the MPC. Every sample doesnt have to be from vinyl either, dont be so ignorant

I am not being ignorant. I only said that cause if you got a TT then use it but obviously you don't so that's a different situation. TT is gonna give you a more warm and fuller sound then a mp3 or wav file coming off your computer all compressed and shitty soundin.

Its rather easy to chop on a 3000. I sample from both computer & vinyl, and the wax sounds thicker
i'm looking for an easy way to chop on the 3000-please enlighten me
