Advice on MPC60

Hello people

after a bit of advice
I've got a MPC60 and a MPC60II

The mk1 has the scsi upgrade the mk 2 does not, both have the os upgrade to 3.10, wich one would you guys keep.

I'm thinking move the scsi upgrade to the mk2 and keep that ? but is the the best mpc ?
I intend to replace the floppy drive with a card reader at some point.

That depends on if you perform differently on the machine. You may wanna search MPC 60 mk1 vs mk2 on this forum or google. There are differences between the machines. They are pretty obvious though.

Dont sleep on Froooooty Loops for your own personal uses though. Im willing to bet that your tracks will sound pretty much the same coming from MPC or Froooooooty.

But the MK1 I think is better looking and more desirable and easier to sell if you have to.

None, especially since they both have OS 3.10. There are of course some physical differences, but like Jrides said "They are pretty obvious".

I say... since you have them both try turning them on and making a song. Keep the one YOU like best. If you find one performs differently for some reason, and it is desirable to you. KEEP IT.

But yeah... thats only if you dont go the Frrooooty route. Also you might wanna consider "REASON(S)" Get the version with the "S" at the end. Thats the one I see everybody talkin about. (S=Sick?)

Yeah but the “z” version only comes in platinum or chrome. It’s just way too shiny for my eyes. Plus I would have to get at minimum a 24” spinning screen. That’s good for acoustics (breaking up standing soundwaves), but I would also be dizzy. I don’t want to fall out of my chair while “bangin’out heaterz”. Girlz don’t like it when you fall.

The “s” version multiplies your “swag” by keeping you upright in your chair and on stage at all times.

-Edit: I just read that you can use those Kanye West shades that look like blinds to counteract the effect. Not sure how true it is... so the "s" version may be a safer bet if you are not sure about your equilibrium.
