MPC Editor

HI
i'm trying this SW for load some program and sample on my MPC 60 mkII...but my sampler doesn't load the program saved on the floppy, and the sample in sdn format...mpc 600 shows me that the files are corrupt!!
can anyone help me to resolve this problem?..I have contacted the assistance, but no news...

do you os 3.1 on your 60? you need it to load the mpc3000 snds that mpc editor creates.

Yes I have the 3.1 OS on my MPC 60 II, but the files (saved as 3000 format) don't succeed in being loaded into my mpc..
the sampler of course see them, but when I try to load them, it shows me that the files .snd and the program .pgm are corrupt!!!what can be the problem??

ps.I use the DD floppy support and a external usb floppy driver for the pc..

there are some news..

i have sampled some sound into my mpc, then I have open them into the windows XP..after I have copied from pc this same files (sample + program+ seq) into an second floppy (formatted into mpc 60)..

pratically this are the same sample that I have sampled with mpc 60...without mpc editor..in teory these should be loaded fine in the mpc 60...but this doesn't happen!!!

now is clear that the problem is windows and its writing on the floppy, ..? no mpc editor and no mpc 60...

then, what I cand do to resolve this problem in windows??...

mpc editor wont read mpc 60 disks but it creates mpc3000 disks which os 3.1 can load.

did you format them in mpc editor first?- this is very important.

i use zip disks, but when i used floppys i wasnt using a usb floppy - someone with more knowledge might be able to tell you if this is a problem. or if you could access a desktop with built in floppy drive you could try for yourself.

I wouldn't recommend "just" creating MPC3K-programs with the MPC-editor though. Sure an upgraded MPC60 can load them, but the sample-conversion is just painstakingly slow. At least on my machine..

I create programs with the MPC-editor, but after having done this I convert all .SND files to MPC60-format with Awave studio. This eliminates the conversion and enables me to just load them straight away as is. Also makes them files a bit smaller. Normally after having done the 12-bit conversion the sounds only take up half the space which means I can fit two programs instead of one on a regular DD disk.

Dunno really. I checked the possible output formats and couldn't find anything E-MU SP-specific there, although I don't really know if I should look after anything else - compatible formats or whatever..

I found this small tutorial on youtube though, Awave seems able to send samples directly to the SP through MIDI dump. Not the best solution, but possible anyway..

no way to save on floppy in emu sp1200 format... i try in every way, contacting omniflop and awave guy and there's no way to read an emu sp1200 floppy into pc... at least what they say....
so i give up and study the dump... i made that video tutorial...

Hi pUs, sorry but after You having converted the snd sample in MPC 60 format with Awave, in this way don't You lose the map of sound that You previously have created into MPC editor?....
