Just posing a question here -

i was wondering why nearly all commercial rap acts sound the same with a minor exception of their voices. the flows are identical if you were to analyze them based on a percussive and articulated style.....literally sound like JADA KISS from 98 Puff Daddy Era or Beanie Segal....

When will it all end?

Oh and another thing - what's with them daygowns - you know the shit i'm talkin bout you prolly wearin one right now - it's those long ass 4X LONG white HANES t-shirts - you know the jawns that look like motherfukkers livin' in rome with all that toga ish......

And since when did it start be cool to rock a team baseball cap with a flat brim cocked to the side - looks like the damn thing fell on your head accidentally while you was in th sporting good shop.....I think Jazzy Jeff needs to re-air his commercial of the correct procedure for donning a starter cap!

i donno what's going on?

before you know it someone like g-unit clothing or def jam is gonna be sellin those daygowns for like $100 a pop. Seriously, I think they all sound the same cause they sell records using another man's style. You would think that creativity and diversity would do it but I guess its all about whats hot at the moment.

LOL @ "you know the **** i'm talkin bout you prolly wearin one right now" Ha ha!!

yeah, I was buggin out thinking maybe I don't like hip hop cuz everything new I hear is so weak, and rappers aren't using the language anymore, just talking in slang, no clever word use. I just gotta get that Percy p record and ignore this Radio BS.

big white shirts and platinum and diamonds, is this not the gayest shyt you ever seen?

Drumatic I feel u on the same flow thing........ Hip hop is wacc right now but the tide is slowly changing. History repeats itself and it all goes in cycles........ There was lull in Hip hop in the early 80s and then Run DMC came out and brought it bacc. I was in 3rd grade but I remember

As 4 fashion, that is always gonna look ridiculous........ no matter what. Don't fight it.... u'll make yourself old b4 your time. I kinda like them long shirts....... reminds me of biz mark on the boat in the 'vapors' video LOL. Uno

you know what I think looks worse than them long shirts? Those Big blinged out watches. I think they are the ugliest things, just so gaudy.

Wear a clock on your chest like you're supposed too!

Hey drumatic.
Feel ya. Being from Philly and being an ole head, I'm exhausted with the long azz shirts and the pants. Damn. They are everywhere. Local Butch Dykes are even loving it too. They gitting they soft thug on. But, hey let's take a Hiphop look back for a sec.

Today's long azz shirts cover up the jail suits, (Think of Eazy E running thru those old NWA videos...1989-1990) that became baggy pants, that became increasingly bigger baggy pants. (Think of CrissCross's Totally Crossed Out! Yall remember them, don't yall? I know somebody got their stuff at home. For somebodyl that was their first record purchase. Well. Look at their gear. Look almost like these cats today.) What I mean by cover ups, is that the shirt/dresses actually gotta cover their azz cuz the pants don't.

At Xmas, I was in Target and a woman came up to me and asked could she measure some clothes on me for her Grandson who was at home. (I'm 6ft 2in -220lbs) I asked how old he was. She said 14. He was only 5ft-5in and she thought if they were big on me, they'd be a perfect fit for his lil, non-creative, non-thinking, punk azz.

Yeah. While we're thinking back, remember how Pac used to walk? That sh#t was dope. He had a deep ole skool stroll. That sh#t wasn't just about thuglife, that was about keeping his pants up! Look at people today. It's funny. I saw some idiots trying to cross the street in front of Temple University's dorm on a yellow light. They had to pull up their long azz dresses to hold up their pants, so they could run. Each of these fools had on belts and the waist of their pants started somewhere above their knees. Damn. That sh#t is stupid.

I've been saying for a longtime that has become Hiphop is a corpse that the doctors won't let die. A zombie. The walking dead. No Black Popular cultural form has survived commercially strong this long in America. Black folk usually move on to something else when white folk and particularly corny, white folk catch on.

Anyway, it's time, over time, been time for a change.

Peace and no disrespect to all.
