you would want SCSI for sure... $750?

Just factor in that you'll want scsi and that's an extra $300, so go as low as you can. A good price is $600, a fair price is 750-800

Couldn't go to a museum, the floppy isn't original (but as long as it works).
Sad the only reason a 60 looks clean is because most have been dogged out :( or have that knuckle wear around the knobs.

We are just to used to seeing the wrong type of price on a 60.
At $450 it's still another $300 for SCSI which equals $750, which puts it close to the right price you should pay for a fully EXP 60.
If you paid $450 with no expansions look what you would pay to fully outfit the 60.
That's a hard call with 3000's going for $1100-1250 easily.

Still don't understand why the people at Forat don't realize how much money they could make for repainting 60's back to OEM at a more realistic price.
There are lots of 60's out there that could use a new coat of paint to get them looking good not people trying to pimp their mpc, but the price Forat charges is too much just to re-establish your 60 back to spec.

Maybe if we got together as group Forat would do a standard 60 paint job at a realistic price?
Mine looks good but a chance for a fresh paint job at a realistic price is something I would jump on.

My 60 is in good shape but I'd be down for a fresh factory paint job, as long as it was the same and they don;t give me some other shade of akai greige ;)

By ntalec Sat Oct 29, 2005 5:15 pm
That's what I thinking.
They have the templates and screens so it's still easy for them to do.
As long as we get the OEM treatment that makes is look like a 60 again, just not at the pimp paint price.

It does have quite a few colors, some of those pimp jobs are just one or two kinds of fancy paint.

Forat should open up shop like that, it seems the 6 cats are the ones that like the original paint job.
