.mpc 3000 le

I'm really going crazy for a 3k le. I think that is the "nicest lookin" drum/samp/seq I've seen and looks matter!! Any pros and cons to share with a brother? I've had a 1k, 2kxl,and a 4k. All were great! Now I want the 3!!!!!!!

It will be a rude awakening if you came from those 3 machines.

that bad? i know there will be a lot of features missing but after having the others i think it will work for what im doing with it.

U wouldn't suggest investing?

just because something would be rude awakenning, doesn't mean it's not the best MPC in the galaxy

I once knew a guy who said music is about the way it looks not about the way it sounds. That gut would've hated the MPC 3000LE.

I am not saying that it's a bad thing. I've had mine for a few months now and I like it but I also have a XL too. But the way you will have to make your beats is gonna be alot different then on those 3 machines. I honestly love mine tho for the sequencer and the sound processor. If you are gonna get one i would get Rohan's OS 3.50 program it makes a world of difference.

I don't think it will be a problem(had an asr10). Seeing the waveform is nice but not neccessary. I'm going to at least give it a try. If it aint what I expect It'll be back on ebay!

yo i went from a 1k to a 3k got a great deal on it and copped it matter fact i still have my 1k havent turned it on since i got the 3k now looking to sell it for a audio interface but yeah i had to change my way of making beats almost completely around but you get the hang of it

They are not hard to find you must really mean a cheap 3k LE.
My question would be why you got rid of the others and what you really expect from the 3k?
I've owned everything MPC (except the small units 1k/500) and it's 4k or nothing for me.
Just covers so much ground.

I used the 2000XL for three years or something, my first MP, but then I bought the 3000LE. I agree it looks dope, and most important: it sounds dope as well! The first hour I hat it I banged out some fresh stuff, and fell in love with it straight away.

After using the 2000XL a long time, you will get around the 3000 easy. It's about the same machine, and you'll get used to trimming without waweform. I dont miss my 2000XL, and I sold it after some time as I did not see why I should have both.

I still use the 2000XL when I make beats with my man at his crib, and it's not like I'm thinking I should get the 2000XL back again because it's easyer or something. I like the sound on the 3000 better than the 2000XL. And if you get the "Rohan OS" on it you cant go wrong. I'm going ty get that OS as soon as I get the money.

I also like the pads on the 3000 better. They are somewhat "punchier" if thats a word, they're thicher and chunkyer, got more rubber and velocity "bandwith". The 2000's pads feels like expressionless plastic after using the 3000, and it feels like I'm breaking the machine hitting them. The 3000 is a tank, so it weighs a ton. It has 8 outs as standard, so if you do not have the 8 outs board on the 2000XL you will love that as it makes mixing and multitracking easy.

Give it a try, and if you don't like, you can (like you said) sell it again for the same price.

Summary: it's dope!

I had the 2k at a bad time in my life and sold it before learning it. Then i got the 1k and thought it was too small. Then i got the 4k and thought it was more than neccessary. Then i got the mv 8800 and realized i didnt need that much either(thats a nice piece). The pads on th 4k felt great.i hope the 3 is the same. The only thing that worries me is saving and loading samples. If thats not an issue< im good!!!!!!

Here's what I say about the 3K, it does what it's supposed to do.
Based on your statement you would more than likely be just as happy with the XL l if you took the time to learn it.
I know different people have different methods but for me I get around on the 4k better than any of the other MPC I have owned.
With the exception of the 2500 they were all used for more than a year, the 2500 was 10 month.
If the things like graphic display, EB card, zoning, TCE, multiple programs etc aren't important you then the 3k will be a good fit.
Just take the time to get a better idea of what you are trying to get out of the MPC then revisit the idea by looking through the manuals and asking questions.

I gotta have that le !!! Call me what you like but when I want something this bad I have to see for self!!!! A few q's.....does anyone use the vga? Are the pads like the 4k's?(1k...boooo). How much is the os update?
