The type of work done originally in psoul's picture is likely done by the manufacturer -- either due to an issue in the PCB design or it's for a custom configuration. My guess is that it's for a custom configuration...

Have you tried unsoldering all the extra wires to see how it works? What did you pull this drive out of?

If you can find datasheets for the chips that have been connected with the jumpers you may get some insight into what the mod is doing...

yes mate i'm trying to do that...
i try all the combination but still doesn't save under mpc3000... with windows xp is all ok, all work perfectly....

if i connect the pcd-47b without any connected mood... as they were never have been there... well the unit doesn't work, doesn't turn on
