Take the hit. Its worth it for an mpc 3000 - seriously.
If youre anywhere near London - try CimpleSolutions to sort it out. If not - do some research - and find out exactly whats wrong with the unit and work out how to fix it.
Thats just my viewpoint - but I went from a 1000 with JJOS to a 3000 and really, there is no comparison. Not even close.
