My guess is that the very last models to leave the factory had the 2.14 OS and Marion SCSI.

Who cares, I was expecting a stock Akai unit with no upgrades. :D :D :D :D :D :D

NOICE

I checked the other pic and it seems you don't have the ram upgrade

the 60 only takes 750 kb upgrade though

didn't know that about 2.14... I am guessing that version is rarer.

if you got that ram upgrade you're set with that scsi port. very dope purchase.

Ah yes the ream upgrade, was wondering what the empty socket was for.

I can live without it for now.

If i ever get hold of a decent camera will post some MPC porn starring my threesome.

yeah man, try and get that upgrade so you can start making 2 floppy beats instead of only single floppy beats!

also, dont forget to make a beat using all 3 machines some time soon just because you have the ability to... plus now that I notice it... you got the 3 best models!

well you know, sometimes with the older OS you need to make several cuts of the same sample cause there is no pad mutes.

for example you need to make another variation cut in half etc...

Compliments appreciated fellas.

Unfortunately my studio is in boxes for now, other priorities at the moment.

I am working on a project that just might please some of our UK members.

Fingers crossed.

thats a clean looking MPC 60! i paid £400 for my 60 MKII last year and its not even in that great condition (got a crack on the plastic covering the screen :( ) although it does have the memory upgrade. If your screen is really dim mate, i bought a replacement foil for it off ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/REPLACEMENT-EL-BACKLIGHT-KIT-AKAI-MPC60ii-MPC3000-/220723708084?pt=UK_Musical_Instruments_Pro_Audio_Samplers_Accessories_CV&hash=item33642880b4#ht_3367wt_1138 really recommend him you don't even have to solder anything so its easy to install and he delivers quickly and it doesn't half make a difference to the brightness.

I couldn't resist it, one owner from new and spotless.

Flightcase, manual, OS 2.12, Max RAM, no SCSI, backlight and floppy need replacing.

Picked her up today.

pic didn't work for me..

yo about the floppy... dont jump on those 150 dollar floppies they sell online (listed as the drive for the 60)

you live in the UK where computers such as the amiga were popular so finding those old floppy drives with the added jumper modes should be simple to find.

Fixed the pic.

I was under the impression the only replacement floppy drive for 60's were TEAC FD-235HFxxxx .

Will any old Amiga drive do?
