I am looking into it, the easiest way to find out is to get some one who had the Forat Modification done and take pictures of the Individual output PC Board. From that and the schematics we could tell what the mod is. Besides that I sent the schematic to someone who knows more about Op-Amp's than me so I will see what i can figure out. All that said it still may not be worth it to mess with your MPC!

i just upgraded my workspace with the TLAudio FatTrack, the blue summing console on the top. As far as mpc tracking this is one of the nicest things ive heard yet ( next to the neve and ssl racks ). Save the $$$'s on the extra boost and boost your studio a lil extra, because you can also use these things to record great vocals and instruments.

Sorry to bump an old thread but can someone tell me exactly how they track using the stereo outputs? I've been using the 8-outs since I've had mine and have never tried this. I've sent mine to Forat so I can't try it right now but do you solo your kicks then record, solo snares then record etc? Do you use a y-cable?

Only use two inputs on your mixer/interface and hard pan them left and right or use a stereo track on your DAW which will pan them by default.

Stereo outs of the MPC3000 can handle higher signal level than the individual ones without clipping.
