Dishonest and a terrible PCb designer lol

Yep, like I said...
SimonInAustralia wrote:French dirtbag retarded scum.

I bought an MPC from them (him?), I asked how much postage was, they said $80, sent money, they get back to me and tell me postage is actually $300...WTF, I expect to be given a real postage cost, not some number plucked out of thin air, retard.

Then I buy a Vailixi ROM, just when they were getting going on that, refused to send it until I left positive feedback for the MPC.

No respect at all for Roger, refuse to stop, a prime example of what dirtbag scum these people are, and how they have no problem sh itting on other members of the small MPC community.

now i'm really starting to have doubts if my purchase will succeed after all..
:? thanks for all your replies on this.strange that they say they tested the board and after sending it seems to miss a connection..

when i ask..did you only test the sample time , and didn't load a program and tested the sounds play...they don't even bother to answer me.

I think you will be OK, I received the MPC and ROMs without any problems, and there isn't much to go wrong on an MPC memory board, hopefully they will actually test the replacement (or repair) before sending it.

If you can, please post up a photo for us when you have it back.

yes i will.. but couldn't figure it out how exactly ..had the "repairinstruct" photo ready..but can't see how. ( i'm at a central pc, not a stand alone maybe that's why "img" doesn't work now.

Yep, I sort of got the ball rolling on his latest run, after an argument with a fuktard ebay seller in the UK over his overpriced MPC memory board, I decided to give Colin a try to see if he could do another run...

Hi Simon,

I wasn't planning on making any more after the last lot since it took quite
a while for them to shift, and I couldn't find a ready source of the RAM
chips.
I got an email not long ago from an obsolete IC specialist who said he has
some of the RAM, so maybe the time is right to do another run of boards.
I've got a couple of other board designs I need to order soon, so I can add
some of the MPC board to that order and not pay separate shipping.

Cheers,
Colin

They will be good quality, though as I said before, I don't think that there really is much to an MPC RAM board where good/bad quality will make a difference (if wired so that it works correctly in the first place, unlike the one you received).

No idea on price as yet, I think his website mentions 80GBP for the last run, though this run could quite possibly have a different sale price.

yeah i red that, and emailed Colin a few weeks ago.. but in that meanwhile i really wanted this board so bad...cause i had some projects to do and needed more sampletime..

by the way i received a mail from another guy who wrote he is shipping directly a perfect working one, with an appologice in it.

Beatdiggerjazzcat wrote:I gotta be honest, the 3.50 thing doesn't bother me one bit.

It about time everyone got the chance to use it

But ripping of Linn who still sells 3.10 is disgusting! And that is regardless of what he is to the community

Copyright law provides protection for 70 years after the authors death.

There is no difference that I can see between ripping off Linn's 3.10, or Vailixi 3.50.

No one has any right to have it, or deserves the chance to use it, without paying the copyright holder for it, if the copyright holder chooses to sell it, or make it available for free.

That a copyright holder is currently selling it, or not, makes no difference.

It would be awesome to see this happen to these fukers...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Copyright_law_of_France
Criminal sanctions

Contrary to the position in most Common Law jurisdictions, the breach of proprietary rights is a criminal offense in France: contrefaçon (Arts. L335-2 to L335-4). This attracts a fine of up to 300,000 Euros (approx. US$391,850, or £250,300 as of January 2012) and a term of up to three (3) years imprisonment. These penalties are increased to a fine of up to €500,000 and a term of up to five (5) years imprisonment if the offense is committed in an organised group (bande organisée). There is no distinction between the breach of French copyright and the breach of foreign copyright, though the breach must occur in the French territory to be punishable. The import of infringing copies into France, and the distribution of such copies, are punished under the same provisions and are subject to the same penalties.

For example, if Rohan wants to come back and start selling Vailixi again, the market will have been decimated by illegal <$10 copies of his OS, there will be a much smaller market for his product due to it being pirated, those MPC owners who didn't pick up a cheap illegal copy would be more reluctant to pay full price.

I don't see any large fence myself.
