Good that you got it going.

How did you work out that it was a dry solder joint, just moving things around while it was turned on, or did you get hold of a multimeter?

You should put the backlight in.

I moved the power cable around while it was turned on and it worked so I took that board out and saw the culprit. I have to resolder some pins on the inverter first
