The Gotek has given this machine a second life for me. As long as the other parts hold up this mp will ride forth many years into the future alongside me! :mrgreen:

I finally pulled the trigger on a Gotek myself.

Don't like being a guinea pig, but the feedback from you guys has been overwhelmingly positive. Plus it shipped from the UK so no concerns about shipping and taxes etc.

Nah. It wiggles right out with reasonable horizontal force. It's not a concern of mine really.

You can get short USB extension cables.
You could use one of them and place the USB stick somewhere safer.
